Light

Light

Can you believe the sunlight streaming through the windows in these pictures? (captured by my friend and Portland photographer, Jamie Jones). Gosh for so long we were in this in between phase. We've moved to another state, sold a house, bought a new house (that was halfway through construction), started a company, bought a car, started Ella in a new school, and a whole pile of other things ALL at once. It was overwhelming. So many days of things just not going as they should...like needing a document from the bank for closing, yet they just can't get it for me, or I have to wait five days, whatever. Or getting a 14-day window when the movers "could" deliver all of our stuff. Why can't it all just be easy for crying out loud?!

But something is true. We do feel like we are where we are supposed to be. And life just got a whole lot sweeter a couple of weeks ago, as we were handed the keys to our new home! Much more on that to come. :) February and March were a somewhat difficult couple of months in limbo, just feeling like we didn't have a home, commuting far to school, Jeff didn't really have an office, we were squeezed into a somewhat small condo downtown, and just monitoring the final progress of our house build. I'm so relieved it's all closed up and over with now. And the best part is that we have SPACE - holy crap that feels good. For so long we've lived in a house that wasn't very big and now we all feel like we have room to breathe! So thank you for your patience as I abandoned the blog the past couple of months!

Soon I'll share with ya some of the latest house tasks I'm tackling (I'm buried friends. BURIED. But it's so fun.), in addition to some fabulous spring fashion. Hope you're all having a wonderful week!
