Holiday Dress Trends
It's that time of year
When the world falls in love
Every song you hear seems to say
May your New Year dreams come true...
We just got back from a few days in Palm Springs (our Thanksgiving tradition), so now that we are out of the desert I'm in full holiday mode (squeal). Somehow I forgot (!!!!!) that it's time for my nothing-but-Christmas-music rule now that T-giving has passed, and when Jeff reminded me today during our five-hour drive home, I might have swerved slightly off the road. Woot woot (happy dance).
I've combed through loads and loads of holiday wear for the upcoming season, some fancy and some more casual, and here are my top picks for 2016. And pardon the delay...gosh many of you organized ladies probably already have your dresses picked out, but due to my vacation brain I am just now getting this out. The good news is...a LOT of these are on sale because of Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Nordstrom did their very first Black Friday sale and it feels like they are practically giving clothes away.
This year as far as holiday trends go, we are seeing a lot of black and cream, velvet, bare shoulders, gold, lace, high-neck dresses, leather, and even jumpsuits. I've already gotten the girls two sets of matching gold-black dresses (links below for the littles!). Have you been holiday clothes shopping yet? What styles are you loving?
1. Free People lace dress // 2. Topshop gold ombre dress // 3. Current/Elliott coated dress // 4. Ted Baker gold dress // 5. Free People beaded dress // 6. Chelsea28 Peekaboo dress // 7. ASTR open-back mini dress // 8. Dress the Population fit + flare dress // 9. Topshop jacquard dress // 10. Show Me Your Mumu maxi dress // 11. Dress the Population sequin dress // 12. Topshop lace dress // 13. NSR off-the-shoulder dress // 14. Topshop velvet dress // 15. Paige coated jeans
...and let's not forget holiday wear for our minis too! Here are some favorites for my girls that I picked out for all of the parties we have with family and friends this month.
1. Gold Swan Bow Dress, for girls + for toddlers // 2. Gold Brocade Dress, for girls + for toddlers // 3. Dot Print Satin Dress // 4. Maxi Skirt Cream // 5. Tutu Skirt with Pom Poms // 6. Sequin Scatter Dress
May you all enjoy these next few weeks of holiday festivities, not be too stressed trying to get it all ready, and remember to laugh at stuff like kids ripping wrapping paper as you're trying to wrap in-laws gifts (God knows mine sure will :).
